Autumn 2011

Autumn can be a wonderful time to fish as often even the best known rivers can be devoid of other anglers, so don't miss out on the opportunity to enjoy the last month of the regular season. The weather seems to be continuing its uncertain patterns, though April is often settled with low rivers and I love those magic cool sunny autumn days. As the weather cools it's time to pack away the terrestrials and get out the mayflies again as the cool weather brings on the hatches. Late season fishing and the lower sun can make spotting more difficult so make the most of the middle of the day and change angles to the sun to allow you to see into the water effectively
